about yoshi

Although both are from Japan, Yoshi is a Graphic Designer, with no relationship with a famous green dinosaur from a video game. Her childhood dream was to be an art student when she grew up. As a kid, a copy machine her grandfather owned became a favorite toy, and she created her own letterheads and stationery using comic book cutout images and types.

With no surprise to her family and friends she studied graphic design graduating with BFA in Communication Arts and Design from Virginia Commonwealth University. She started her career working at studios and agencies, working on projects for clients such as University of Virginia Health System, Exstream Software, Hewlett Packard, and the International SPA Association. Her design usually starts with sketching and research to develop underlying concepts for designs that meets each client’s unique challenge.

When she is not designing, she is usually busy with other activities in search of inspiration, such as photography, doodling, cooking, reading and traveling.
